Ketature Beach Fish Shack

We are now open for 2023!

(Same food, the same beach, just looks a little different, gets rebuilt every season)

KBH now has a beach restaurant close to the guest house. Open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  Its 20 meters from the guest house or a 10 min walk along the beach from Gurubebila. Nice music, nice vibes. Great place to have an evening fish BBQ and private party, just pop down the day before if you are a big group. The beach restaurant can cater for around 20 people in one sitting.

Fish and Seafood

Fish and seafood are no doubt the best things to order. Most of fish are line caught just out the front by the local fisherman. Please ask about the catch of the day, you could even get a barracuda or lobster on menu if you are lucky.

Rice & Curry

They have a unique selection of fish, chicken and seasonal vegetable curries. Vegan is also easily possible. You can order on the day, all cooks fresh so bear in mind it takes about one hour more or less. 

Ketature Beach

Small private cove shared by the odd resident from the Ayurvedic Barberyn Hotel & Cape Weligama 5 star hotel on either side. You pretty much have it to yourself. The beach is surfable for intermediate to advanced if the conditions are right. There is a bit of a shore break that pulls so please be careful to supervise small children when there is a swell.
